This past spring, The Institute for Social Transformation supported our affiliates at the Right Livelihood Center in hosting a multi-day international conference that brought together renowned social change leaders and student activists from around the globe. The conference was designed to spark collaboration on education and research and build a new international student network. Public events at UC Santa Cruz and inSilicon Valley also shared lessons from leading organizers who have successfully fought against extractive industries that had harmed people and the environment in their communities.
