The Institute is partnering with Pathways to Research (P2R) a research-mentoring program for first generation and low-income students in the social sciences. Over multiple quarters, undergraduates receive mentorship from a PhD student on topics spanning the research process and the realities of graduate school based on the undergraduate’s individual goals. As the student’s engagement with research deepens, they benefit from opportunities to conduct community-engaged research projects that transform Santa Cruz county.
