Conference Program
The All-In Conference will take place over 3 days on October 26-28, 2022 at several venues in Santa Cruz. Below is an overview of the conference schedule and program, including plenary sessions, special events, and meals. Please also see the breakout session schedule for details of concurrent sessions. DAY 1: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2022
We will be at multiple locations in downtown Santa Cruz including Hotel Paradox at 611 Ocean Street and the Resource Center for Non-Violence at 612 Ocean Street (located directly across the street from each other) with a reception at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History (MAH) at 705 Front Street.

3:30-5:00 PM — Plenary: URBAN Network: Renewing and Growing Our Community
Location: Resource Center for Non-Violence (RCNV)
Panelists: Ana Antunes (University of Utah), Paige Bray (University of Hartford), Tim Eatman (Rutgers), and other members of the URBAN Network
Description: URBAN has established a national coalition of publicly engaged scholars dedicated to the purposes of ameliorating research focused on urban communities and youth. As we look towards the future and then next phase of development through our geographic and disciplinary nodes, we call together the community to hone plans for moving the work forward. This is an open opportunity for anyone who sees themselves as aligned to the network and willing to contribute to the coalition.

- The Land of Milk and Honey. A traveling multidisciplinary arts and culture program focused on the ideological concept of agriculture in the regions of California and Mexico.
7:30-8:00 PM — Transportation back to the hotel
Shuttle buses will pick up at the MAH and take guests back to Hotel Paradox.
DAY 2: THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2022
We will be at multiple locations on the UC Santa Cruz campus including the Stevenson Event Center, with breakout rooms in the Humanities buildings. The poster session and reception will be at the UCSC Historic Cowell Ranch Hay Barn. Shuttles will be provided from Hotel Paradox to campus in the morning and will return in the evening.
7:30-8:30 AM — Buses from Hotel Paradox to UC Santa Cruz campus
Shuttle buses will pick up at the Hotel Paradox departing at 7:30am and 8:15am to take attendees to the UCSC Stevenson Event Center. Additional information about parking is available on our logistics page.

Brief Description:
Living communities in higher education, if designed with intentionality, can provide humanizing education to cultivate publicly engaged scholars committed to social justice. This interactive panel with undergraduates from the Honors Living-Learning Community (HLLC) at Rutgers University-Newark and undergraduates from Colleges Nine and John R. Lewis College at UC Santa Cruz will share about their work and on their importance and power of these living/learning spaces for their own development as positive social change makers.

8:00-10:00 PM — Film screening: Fruits of Labor
Location: Del Mar Theater, a historic art deco theater in downtown Santa Cruz at 1124 Pacific Avenue.
Fruits of Labor is an award-winning and nationally-televised film, which was filmed in Watsonville and follows Ashley, a Mexican-American teenager, who dreams of graduating high school and going to college. But when ICE raids threaten her family, Ashley is forced to become the breadwinner, working days in the strawberry fields and nights at a food processing company. The screening will include a discussion with the filmmaker, Emily Cohen Ibañez. This special event is open to conference goers and the general public.
