Neuroscientists seek to understand how the nervous system interacts with the environment and adapts to experiences.
At UCSC, researchers combine molecular genetics, live imaging, circuit mapping and manipulation, and behavior studies to explore the brain mechanisms under normal and diseased conditions, and to apply such knowledge to improve brain health.
